KCSO Seized $300,000 Worth of Meth

BAKERSFIELD – Law enforcement removed $300,000 worth of meth from the Bakersfield community on Wednesday.

CHP stopped 29-year-old Jesus Ivan Lara and discovered 70 pounds of meth in his car.

After this discovery, authorities next executed a search warrant at Lara’s home in the 700 block of Cinder Cone Avenue.

At the home detectives discovered more pounds of crystal meth.  Also, they seized $17,000 in drug proceeds and two firearms.

As noted, KCSO estimated the total take of meth to exceed $300,000.

Lara’s charges are transporting a controlled substance, maintaining a residence for sale and possession while armed.
