LINCOLN // Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for robbery after he tried to walk out of Walmart with several items hidden in his backpack.

On January 8th at around 12:30 PM, officers arrived at Walmart to investigate a reported burglary. They learned that the suspect — 24-year-old Florian Njomo of Lincoln — had entered the store, filled his backpack with merchandise, and walked out without paying.

When confronted by employees, he reportedly brandished his skateboard in a threatening manner.

After he left, a witness followed him and provided updates to officers, who found and arrested him a short time later.

Njomo is now in custody at the South Placer Jail on a robbery charge.
