TULARE – To have your home burglarized is a terrible experience any time of the year, but to have your home burglarized just after Christmas can be especially tough.
It happened to a local family last week, and one of the items reportedly stolen was a brand new pair of shoes for a boy who lived in the home.
Deputy Verenzuela of the Porterville substation was the initial investigator of the incident. On January 6 the officer became more than the invesitgator; he became the bringer of some measure of happiness when he brought a brand new pair of shoes for the boy.
The Tulare Sheriff’s Office says, “The men and women of the Sheriff’s Office are proud to be partners with the communities they serve.”
