Homicide Suspect Identified
Lavale Shawn Vean

Lavale Shawn Vean, also known as “Fudge,” has been identified as the prime suspect in a shooting which injured two and left another dead.

On the afternoon of October 2nd, Robert Ramos, 52, was standing outside his home on Fir and Vista Avenue in a quiet residential area in Northwest Fresno. His wife Irma Ramos, 52, and son Jacob Ramos, 20, were with him when all three were shot. Investigators have found sufficient evidence to name Vean responsible for the shooting.

Police stated “this was a violent attack on unsuspecting victims and displays a complete disregard for human life.” All three victims were tended to at Community Regional Medical Center. However, Robert Ramos, described as a dedicated family man and not involved in any criminal activity, did not survive his injuries. A motive has not been released.

Lavale Shawn Vean is a wanted man. He is a 20-year old black male, 6 feet, 150 lbs. He wears his hair in short dreadlocks and his chest displays a large tattoo.

His known connections extend from Madera, CA to Las Vegas, NV. He is currently on probation for armed robbery and has warrants issued in Madera and Fresno related to a burglary and gun charges. Given the nature of this crime and Vean’s criminal history, police are considering him armed and dangerous.
