Trinity County teacher arrested for serial abuse of underage students

TRINITY COUNTY // On October 12th, David C. Frederick was arrested on suspicion of inappropriate sexual relationships with multiple underage students during his 20+ years working as a teacher.

At the time of his arrest, Frederick was employed as a teacher at Coffee Creek Elementary School.

The investigation traversed several California counties and even crossed state lines, with victims being discovered and interviewed in multiple jurisdictions.

Frederick admitted to the inappropriate relationships when interviewed.

Investigators believe that, while many victims have been identified, there may be many more who have yet to come forward.
