RIVERSIDE — On Friday, investigating deputies with the Narcotics Unit came across information that a wanted felon might be at the Pechanga Resort and Casino located in Temecula.
40-year-old Toby Elias was indeed located in the casino and authorities maintained surveillance.
Elias left at 3 and boarded his motorcycle and promptly fled when detectives attempted to stop him.
The brief pursuit nearly ended when it entered a dead end street, but Elias struck the front of a police car before jumpoing off and trying to run away.
He didn’t succeed, and was taken into custody with 140 grams of meth and 13 grams of heroin.
The suspect faces violation of post-release community supervision as well as evading police and drug charges.
