Authorities descend on illegal Glenn County grow-op

ARTOIS // On August 10th, the county’s Interagency Narcotics Task Force, along with the Sheriff’s Office and officers from the County Probation office, arrived on the 3000 block of County Road F with a search warrant.

That day, officials eradicated 4,492 marijuana plants and seized 1,160 pounds of processed marijuana, which amounted to an estimated street value of $5,562,000.

Officials also seized approximately $13,000 in cash.

One person was located on the property — later identified as 62-year-old Rodney Vaughn Pierce — was arrested for cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale.
