NAPA — 38-year-old Nathan Skinner has been arrested by Napa PD’s Special Enforcement Unit for possession of hazardous material and a firearm.

At around 10:30 AM on August 9th, Skinner was detained on the 200 block of Soscol Avenue while Napa PD detectives, NSIB, and Napa County Sheriff’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal served a search warrant at his home on Adrian Street.

Nearby residence where temporarily evacuated and the roadway closed off while EOD personnel searched the property for hazardous material, which they suspected they’d found.

A “rendered safe procedure” was used to handle the material.

Napa PD detectives then conducted a search of the home, during which they discovered a loaded .25 automatic handgun, ammunition, and suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Skinner was subsequently arrested and booked at Napa County Jail.
