SALINAS — 24-year-old Bianca Perez-Torres has been sentenced to two years in prison after entering a no-contest plea on May 3rd to residential burglary, false imprisonment, and dissuading a witness. Her accomplice, Ruby Bautista, had previously entered the same deal and is also serving two years in prison.

On May 23rd of last year, Torres and Bautista knocked on the victim’s door and forced their way inside when she answered, demanding to know the whereabouts of another resident.

The pair then locked the woman in a room and threatened harm if she called police. The victim then listened as Torres and Bautista rummaged through the home. She later discovered several electronic items missing.
