MARYSVILLE — Early in the morning on April 14th, an officer with Marysville PD pulled over a 1992 Lexus after noticing a vehicle code violation.

Being that the driver, later identified as 39-year-old Jonathan Cooper, was on probation for transportation of narcotics, he is subject to occasional compliance checks.

The officer and his K-9 partner searched the vehicle, only to discover just over 40 grams of methamphetamine. Other items were also found which were consistent with the sales of narcotics.

Cooper was arrested and booked into Yuba County Jail. His passenger, identified as Erika Silva, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Placer County.
