3 Arrests Bring El Dorado County Investigation to a Close

PLACERVILLE — On February 7th, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division closed a months-long investigation with three arrests.

The investigation, pertaining to narcotics and stolen property, led investigators to pursue search warrants at a residence and storage unit in Placerville. They recovered eleven firearms, various tools and electronics, military tactical gear, and ballistic vests.

Many of the items were confirmed as stolen during a previously-reported residential burglary.

The suspects — Mark Thiers (31) of Placerville, Marisa Moreno (20) of Cedar Grove, and Gary Sullivan (33) of Placerville — have all been arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on charges including possession of narcotics for sale, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of stolen property, and felony conspiracy.
