HOLLISTER — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects in two different robberies which happened the same night about an hour apart; one on McCray Street at about 7:11 PM, the other on San Felipe Road at about 8:25 PM.

On that day, a suspect walked into Andy’s at 193 McCray and pulled a dark cover over his face as he approached the counter. He produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, who handed over an undisclosed amount.

The clerk later described the suspect as a thin man in his early 20s standing about 5’4″. Additionally, he said the suspect was wearing grey pants with a dark hooded sweatshirt, as well as pointing out the dark-colored mask.

About an hour later, two men walked into the Happy cafe at 191 San Felipe. One of them walked up to the counter with a black handgun and collected money, then the two fled.

Oddly enough, the suspect who approached the counter in the second robbery bore a similar description to the suspect in the first robbery.

The investigations are still ongoing and all suspects involved are being considered armed and dangerous. Police are asking that anyone with information that may lead to an identity or arrest call the station at 831-636-4330.
