FOUNTAIN VALLEY – The Verizon store at 9025 Warner experienced a robbery last Saturday when three individuals entered the store and stole $28,000 worth of phones and money from the safe.
Police report that the two of the three had firearms. Based on witness descriptions of the vehicle, police were able to locate it shortly thereafter in Bellflower.
During the brief pursuit, the vehicle crashed and the trio fled on foot. But their freedom was also brief and all three were arrested.
Two of the suspects were juveniles from Compton. The third suspect, 25-year-old Justain Meriwether also from Compton, was charged with robbery, brandishing a firearm, reckless vehicle pursuit, conspiracy, hit and run, stolen property, and resisting arrest.
