Ex-Security Guards for Dodgers Sold Stolen Team Merchandise

LOS ANGELES – 58-year-old Juan DeDios Prada and 62-year-old Fernando Sierra worked as security guards at Dodger Stadium, during which time they also allegedly conspired with 41-year-old Jesse Luis Dagnesses to steal baseball equipment, uniforms, and other merchandise and then sell them online.

The ex-guards face charges of conspiracy to commit burglary and second-degree commercial burglary, while Dagnessess also faces a felony count of receiving stolen property — baseballs and baseball jerseys over $950 in value.

Over a three-year period, they stole over $3,000 worth of merchandise.

The trio will have a pretrial hearing on February 16th, just in time for Spring training.  They face three to four years in jail if they are convicted.
