Humboldt County Sheriffs Investigate Redway Shooting

HUMBOLDT COUNTY — On December 13th at approximately 2 PM, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived in Redway after reports of a possible shooting.

Once on scene, they discovered a 41-year-old victim lying on Whitmore Avenue just north of Empire, suffering from a gunshot wound. While a search of the immediate area turned up no suspects, police have released the description of a suspicious vehicle believed to be connected to the incident. The vehicle is described as a grey Dodge pickup truck with body damage and no tailgate.

The suspect, who remains unidentified, is considered armed and dangerous. It is unknown if he/she is still in the area. Anyone with information that may lead to more information or an arrest is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251.
