Marijuana Enforcement Team Operation in Eureka

On March 30, 2021, deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served one search warrant to investigate illegal cannabis distribution at a residence on the 2800 block of I Street in Eureka.

During the service of the warrant, deputies located and seized over 99 pounds of packaged cannabis bud, over 9 pounds of cannabis keef, approximately 317 pounds of cannabis extract, over 684 pounds of cannabis shake and approximately 14 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms. Deputies also located and seized $21,000 pursuant to asset forfeiture proceedings. While serving the warrant, deputies also located an active ethanol extraction lab.

Darlene Dawn Petrie, age 45 of Eureka, was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of cannabis for sales (HS 11359(B)), possession of a controlled substance for sales (HS 11378), manufacturing a controlled substance by chemical extraction (HS 11379.6(A)) and renting a residence for the purpose of unlawfully manufacturing, storing, or distributing a controlled substance for sale or distribution (HS 11366).
