Stabbing suspect arrested

The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for allegedly stabbing another man earlier this month.

According to the sheriff’s office, they responded to a report of a stabbing on the 2100 block of Vista Street in Oceano.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 40-year-old Hispanic male victim from Phoenix.

The victim was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, where he underwent surgery for a stab wound to the torso.

The suspect fled the area before the deputies arrived on the scene.

The suspect was identified as Jaime Alberto Uc, 20 of Oceano. An arrest warrant was issued.

On Sunday, sheriff’s detectives and members of the sheriff’s gang task force located the suspect at a motel in the 300 block of Traffic Way in Arroyo Grande.

Uc was taken into custody without incident at approximately 6:03 p.m. and was transported and booked into SLO County Jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
