Santa Rosa PD Seeks Armed Robbery Suspects

SANTA ROSA – According to a recent Community Bulletin issued by the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) dispatchers received the report of an armed robbery Saturday, July 23, 2016 shortly after 10 PM at Cash for Gift Cards located at 405 Santa Rosa Avenue.

Officers spoke with the 52-year-old victim upon arriving at the scene. The victim told officers that three suspects had entered the store. One of them was armed with a handgun. The suspect with the handgun pointed it at the clerk and demanded money and other property inside the store.

As the victim was attempting to comply with the suspects’ demands, the suspect with the handgun struck the victim several times in the head with the firearm. The suspects then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, gift cards and other items. The handgun was not fired during the robbery and there were no customers inside the store at the time.

The suspect with the handgun is described as a black male in his mid to late 50’s and is approximately 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with short black hair. He was wearing a dark grey sweatshirt and jeans.

The second suspect is described as a black female in her mid 50s and is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, 200 pounds, with straight black hair. She was also wearing a dark grey sweatshirt and jeans. The third suspect is described as a black female in her mid 20s who is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall.

The victim’s name will not be released at this time due to the violent nature of the crime, and the fact the suspects have yet to be identified. Anyone with information regarding this case can call the Santa Rosa Police Department at (707) 543-3600.
