Unknown homicide suspect sought by San Jose Police

SAN JOSE — San Jose has now experienced it’s fifth homicide of the year.

According to police, San Jose officers responded on February 14 at approximately 3:45 A.M. to a vehicle crash in the alley behind an apartment complex in the 5600 block of Via Monte Drive.

Witnesses at the scene discovered the driver, who appeared to be injured, but soon realized he had in fact been the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. 59-year-old Darren Boice was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, unknown at this time, fled and the scene and remains at large as the investigation continues.
