Placer County Sheriff Arrests 3 Juveniles for Recent Burglaries

Detectives from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office have reportedly arrested three juveniles last week in connection to recent burglaries and acts of vandalism at the Auburn Valley Country Club, according to an official press release.

According to Placer County Sheriff, twice in August the golf course’s clubhouse and restaurant, as well as the golf cart maintenance building, were broken into. During the break in, alcohol was reportedly taken, and golf carts were taken out on to the course for joy-riding. The carts were then reportedly intentionally damaged. Then in an October 15 incident, golf carts were reportedly again taken and vandalized. The cost of all the damages is reportedly still being determined.

Following up on leads, the detectives reportedly located the three suspects at a local high school. Two 15-year-old suspects were reportedly charged with the October break in only. The 14-year-old — who was on probation — was taken into custody and booked at the Placer County Juvenile Hall in Auburn. All three were charged with burglary, felony vandalism and conspiracy.

The 15-year-old suspects were reportedly released to the custody of their parents, and a report was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office and to the Placer County Probation Department.
