Two Suspects Arrested for Construction Site Theft

A observant resident helped lead to the arrest of two suspects who were found stealing items from Roseville area construction sites, according to an official weekly report from the Roseville Police Department.

James Augustus Montague, 46, of Sacramento, and Adriana Lee Winward, 45, of Elk Grove, were reportedly arrested on suspicion of misappropriating found property.

According to Roseville PD, on Saturday, May 24 at about 8:30 pm, officers responded to West Park on calls about suspicious activity. A pickup truck was reportedly driving around the neighborhood and making frequent stops. One caller was reportedly concerned because she knew there had been recent thefts at area construction sites and there were some homes under construction in the area where the pickup truck was driving.

Officers reportedly arrived on the scene and found the pickup truck parked in front of a home under construction in the 3300 block of Welton Circle. They made contact with the two occupants of the truck — later identified as Montague and Winward — and upon search of the vehicle found pieces of lumber and other construction materials that were identified as having come from the construction area.
