Wasco Man Arrested for Selling Meth

WASCO — A Wasco man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, following a search of his apartment that turned up a large quantity of illegal drugs packaged for sale.

Ernesto Acosta, 36, was booked into the Kern County Jail’s Central Receiving Facility for possession of an illegal substance, possession of an illegal substance for sales, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and an immigration hold.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and agents from the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team, and the Gang Suppression Section Investigations Unit, served a search warrant at an apartment in the 700 block of Adams Street in Wasco on May 14.

During their search, deputies said they discovered approximately 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately $600 in US currency and evidence indicative of narcotics sales.
