LOS ANGELES – Former NFL player James Hardy III was arrested on Sunday afternoon for disturbing the peace in an incident that allegedly involved injuring two police officers. The 6’7″ former athlete is being held in an LAPD jail and his bail was set at $25,000.
The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m. on the 600 block of St. Paul Avenue. Police responded to a disturbance call and, in their attempt to detain the 28-year-old Hardy, a physical altercation ensued.
The two officers sustained minor injuries, were treated at a hospital and released.
Hardy was signed by the Buffalo Bills in 2008 and later signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2011, wearing number 13 before being released later in the year.
