FRESNO – The Fresno Police Department arrested a suspect who allegedly held up a convenience store and then led officers on a high-speed chase that ended with him crashing his car into a fence.

Officers nearby saw the suspect running away from the store. The suspect, now identified as 47-year-old Daniel Peckham, jumped into a car and took off through a residential neighborhood. Police followed him, but Peckham soon lost control of his car and crashed into a fence, according to authorities.
Both the plastic bag and the stolen cash were recovered, according to police.
