Costco Employee Gets Warrants in Bulk

HAWTHORNE, CA—Everyone knows that Costco is the place to go to get savings on industrial-sized portions of everything from aspirin, to condoms, to alcohol. But one employee apparently elected to take his work home by having a super-sized list of outstanding warrants.

Brian Lamarr Florence, 31, was picked up by Hawthorne police on Saturday, February 22 at approximately 3:30 p.m along the 3200 block of West 139th Street near his apartment residence. The 6’1”, 220-lb. Costco employee was charged with spousal/ex-spousal battery. Police then discovered that he had four outstanding warrants. Each of them was for failure to appear, and each one had been issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

It is unknown if Florence works at the Costco Business Center in Hawthorne, the regular Costco elsewhere in the city or the full-service one in nearby Inglewood, California.

Bail for the battery charge was set at $20,000. The four warrants, however, seemed to have been handed out at Costco-like savings: $501 for one, one for $541 and $561 for two others. Talk about buying in bulk for great savings!
