Dixon Juvenile Commits Battery On Police Officer; Minor Injuries Reported

An escalating family disturbance in a quiet suburban neighborhood on the southern outskirts of Dixon resulted in a juvenile family member committing battery on two Dixon police officers in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The juvenile family member “instigated an altercation which resulted in a call to 911 around 1:20 am at a residence in the 1500 block of Valley Glen Drive,” Dixon Patrol Sergeant Brad Harms said in a brief phone interview with Crime Voice.

Upon being contacted by two Dixon Police officers, the juvenile allegedly “spit on and kicked them,” Sgt. Harms said. This juvenile also head-butted one of the officers, who was later treated and released from a local hospital.

The alleged assailant, who was not identified by Dixon Police due to his juvenile status, was medically cleared at the hospital and then lodged in Solano County Juvenile Hall on charges of PC 232(b)-Battery on a Police Officer and a juvenile probation violation.
