A suspect who allegedly ran over a pedestrian — first doing “donuts” around the victim according to the CHP — crashed and ran from the scene but was caught and arrested, bloody from the experience, officials said.
The red MINI Cooper the suspect was driving overturned on the eastbound 210 Freeway, near North Vernon Avenue, about 5:50 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
It spun out, struck a center divider and ended up on its side, the CHP reported.
Callers reported seeing the suspect run up an embankment and climb a retaining wall, according to the CHP.
