School Bus Driver/Custodian Arrested for Child Molestation, Lewd Acts

OCEANO — An Oceano man has been arrested for alleged continual sexual abuse of a child and lewd acts with a child under 14 years of age.

According to the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Lewis Zaldivar, 28, of Oceano was arrested by deputies on Thursday.

Investigators say the abuse happened over a four-year period beginning in 2004 and then again in 2010. Zaldivar is an employee of the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education and is also a part-time custodian and school bus driver for the Lucia Mar Unified School District.

The sheriff’s office is seeking information about other possible victims.
