On Sunday, the parents learned of the inappropriate contact and then contacted the police. Gutierrez worked at the Technique Studio as a martial arts instructor and sometimes offered private instruction.

Technique Studios has been in business on Sixth Street in Hollister since 1988.  They offer classes for men, women and children.  The victim had been a student of Gutierrez’s up until the discovery of the criminal act.

“At the time that the criminal act occurred there was no one around in the studio,” Hollister Police Interim Police Chief said. “But we are differently concerned about this case and are looking for more victim of Gutierrez’s.”

The investigation was led by the Hollister Police Department but the San Benito District Attorney’s Office along Child Protective Services assisted in the investigation.

Gutierrez was booked into the San Benito County Jail on charges of rape by force or fear, lewd act with a child and sexual penetration.  He is being held on 550.000.00 dollars.

This investigation is still on going and the Hollister Police Department is asking anyone with information about this case to call the Police at 831-636-4330.  Especially, if you had child that attended the martial art studio.
