Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Suspected Burglar

The Santa Maria Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect they believe burglarized Max Auto Sales.

The male suspect is believed to have burglarized Max Auto Sales at 423 N. Broadway at about 3 a.m. on Monday, April 1. He was captured on surveillance video and was last seen leaving the area on West Tunell Street from Broadway, police said.

The suspect appears to be in his mid 30s, about five feet and seven inches tall, weighing between 160 and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white stocking cap, dark-colored pea coat, light color jeans and skater-style black tennis shoes with white soles, according to the police.

Anyone with information about the suspected burglar is urged to call Officer Andrew Brice at the Santa Maria Police Department at (805) 928-3781. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-877-800-9100.
