Man Shot in Back, Police Hunt for Suspect

The San Luis Obispo Police Department is asking the public for help to locate a suspect who allegedly shot another man in the back at Santa Rosa Park.

According to SLOPD, officers responded to a call regarding a man screaming at Santa Rosa Park around midnight on Thursday.

Police say when officers arrived on the scene they found a man who had been shot in the back.

According to SLOPD, the victim was taken to Sierra Vista for treatment. The status of the victim is unknown at time of press.

The victim is not identified at this time nor is the type of weapon involved.

At time of press, there was no description of the suspect released.

Police ask anyone with information regarding the suspect or circumstances to call them at 781-7312 or Crime Stoppers at 549-7867.
