“Yesterday morning, your midnight Officers were proactively patrolling our commercial areas and parking lots of local motels, when they found a vehicle San Jose PD was interested in after it had fled from them several days ago.

The vehicle was parked on the 400 block of South Main Street and our Officers developed information that the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Eric John Ramos a 30-year-old San Jose resident, was staying at a nearby motel. Officers determined Ramos had three active misdemeanor warrants for his arrest and he was on active probation for prior drug violations.

Officers went to the motel room and located Ramos, and conducted a probation search where they located heroin, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

Ramos was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and the warrants. San Jose PD was notified of Ramos’ arrest and the impounding of his vehicle.

While the majority continue to shelter-in-place, our Officers continue to be proactive and address those who choose to violate the law and victimize others! Let’s keep Milpitas safe together, so please report criminal and suspicious activity to us! #MilpitasStrong. (MPD# 20-104-017).”
