LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles District Attorney has announced a Capital Murder charge in the case of Viktor Yuryevich Glukhovskiy (dob 2/17/74) of Van Nuys. He was charged in February 1st for killing his wife and 13-year-old son with a shotgun on the day after Christmas.

Glukhovskiy, a security guard who works for LAPD, faces the death penalty for lying in wait, murder for financial gain, two counts of murder, and special allegations of multiple murders.

The Prosecutor is Deputy District Attorney Daniel Akemon of the Justice System Integrity Division.

Glukhovskiy is accused of killing his wife Nataliya and their teen son, Alexandr, at an apartment in the 13800 block of Oxnard Street in Van Nuys.

A conviction for Glukhovskiy would result in a possible maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, or death. The option to seek the death penalty is still being decided.

As a result, bail has been set for $2 million.   LAPD is actively investigating the case.
