Milpitas police arrest 7-Eleven robbery suspect

MILPITAS  – The Milpitas Police Department reported the arrest of a suspect wanted in the robbery of a local 7-Eleven on Friday, July 21, 2017, at approximately 3:37 A.M at 596 North Abel Street.

During the initial investigation into the robbery, video surveillance confirmed that a black male suspect wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, and black shoes entered the 7-Eleven with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The store clerk complied with the request of the armed man who demanded money from the register. The suspect then exited the store with an undisclosed amount of money within a minute and a half.

Milpitas officers were able to identify the suspect as transient 20-year-old Deonje Khari Webb of Fresno. Webb was located and arrested on Friday, August 25, 2017.

When Webb’s booking photo was shown to the store employee, Webb was identified as matching the suspect who demanded money from the clerk.

Webb was then booked into Santa Clara County Jail for armed robbery and is currently waiting for a plea and sentencing hearing.
