CHOWCHILLA — On March 16th, officers received a report that a man and a woman were walking along an overpass at Robertson & Hwy. 99, apparently embroiled in some kind of physical fight.

Responding officers spoke with one Jesus Bueno, who was on probation out of Fresno County. A search of his person turned up $1,860 in cash and further investigation led them to a vehicle parked in the parking lot of a Starbucks.

Officers searched the vehicle and discovered six plastic baggies containing a total of 1 1/2 oz. of methamphetamine. This in combination with the cash (in small bill denominations) found on Bueno led officers to believe he was selling, and he was booked into Madera County Department of Corrections for possession and sales.

The woman he was arguing with was released, as there was no evidence of physical confrontation.
