Juvenile Stabbed in San Miguel

The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a stabbing that occurred on May 16 of this year in San Miguel.

According to the sheriff’s office they responded on that day to the report of a stabbing at approximately 3 p.m. at the San Miguel Community Park, located on the 1200 block of K Street.

When SLO deputies arrived, they found a 15-year-old male juvenile with a stab wound to his stomach. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he continues to recover from the non-life-threatening wound.

Deputies were able to locate the 18-year-old suspect approximately an hour later at a home in San Miguel.
It is believed this incident is gang-related.

The investigation continues and no arrests have been made at this time.

Due to contradictory and conflicting information, it has not been determined who was the primary aggressor in this incident.

The findings of the investigation will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office for consideration of any possible criminal charges.
