SET Serves Search Warrants

Four arrested on drug charges

The Special Enforcement Team (SET) of the Paso Robles police has four men in custody for narcotics-related charges after the team served a search warrant at a residence on Friday.

According to PRPD, SET members served the warrant at a residence on the 800 block of 28th St.

The warrant service resulted in the arrest of four suspects on various drug and weapons charges.

The warrant targeted the residence of Philip Dery, 36, of Paso Robles.

Police say once inside they encountered three more individuals. The search netted 1.1 grams of heroin, 2.4 grams of methamphetamine, numerous prescription pills, hypodermic needles, more than $1000 in cash and drug paraphernalia indicative of sales.

Police also found two loaded handguns. One of the guns was hidden under a couch cushion where the suspects were sitting.

One handgun was reported stolen and the other was unregistered.

Police arrested Dery forfelony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a stolen firearm and a felony for being  a felon in possession of a firearm;  Scott Jackson, 29, of Paso Robles for felony possession of controlled substance for sales and a misdemeanor for being under the influence of a controlled substance; Jeffrey Adams, 28, of Paso Robles for a misdemeanor for being under the influence of a controlled substance; and Walter Gray, 56,of Paso Robles for felony possession of a controlled substance.
