A man who police say had numerous outstanding drug warrants has been arrested after allegedly shoplifting from an American Canyon Walmart.

On December 18, police were called to the Walmart on a report of a suspected theft. They managed to head off the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Siddhartha Suri of Fremont, while he was still sitting in his car in the parking lot.

Officers discovered he had several arrest warrants for possession of narcotics for sale, including one issued by the U.S. Marshalls Office.

After arresting Suri, officers searched his car and reportedly found large amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroine, and Xanax — all packaged for sale.

Suri is currently in custody at the Napa County Jail on his outstanding warrants, as well as new felony and misdemeanor drug charges. He has been deemed ineligible for bail, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.
