ROHNERT PARK, CA — “On August 14, 2026, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, in partnership with the Santa Rosa Police Department and Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a multi-agency human trafficking demand reduction operation in Rohnert Park. The operation focused on individuals seeking to purchase commercial sex acts and was designed to reduce the demand that fuels commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking within Sonoma County. As a result of the operation, two individuals were arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility:
Human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation are driven in part by the continued demand for commercial sex. By targeting those who seek to purchase commercial sex acts, law enforcement agencies work to disrupt the market that allows traffickers and exploiters to profit from vulnerable individuals.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety would like to thank the Santa Rosa Police Department and Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance and continued partnership in combating human trafficking and sexual exploitation throughout Sonoma County.
Rohnert Park DPS remains committed to working collaboratively with our regional partners to identify offenders, protect vulnerable individuals, and hold accountable those who contribute to the demand for commercial sexual exploitation.
If you or someone you know is being exploited or may be a victim of human trafficking, we encourage you to seek assistance. Our priority is the safety and well-being of victims and survivors.
Victims and community members can contact local law enforcement or the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text ‘BEFREE’ to 233733 for confidential support and resources.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety remains committed to working with our community partners to protect vulnerable individuals, hold offenders accountable, and connect victims with the care and services they deserve.
All persons arrested or accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.”
