San Mateo County Authorities Make Arrest in Commercial Burglary Investigation
MILLBRAE, CA — “A suspect was arrested Wednesday in connection with a burglary at a vacant commercial property in Millbrae.
On June 23, 2026, shortly before 12 p.m., deputies with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Millbrae Avenue after receiving a report of a suspicious person. A witness reported an unknown male suspect entered the vacant commercial building and provided a description to deputies.
Within minutes, deputies were on scene, located an unsecured door and observed the suspect inside the building. Based on the nature of the incident, deputies from the Drone Unit and K-9 Unit responded and conducted a systematic search of the property, but the suspect was not initially located.
While searching the building, deputies located multiple documents which assisted in identifying the suspect as 33-year-old Adeleke O. Ajayi of Oakland. It is unknown at this time if any items were taken from the building.
On June 24, at around 8 a.m., deputies located Ajayi walking in the area of Linden Avenue and California Drive in Millbrae. Ajayi was taken into custody without incident and a records check revealed he is on Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS) out of Alameda County for theft-related charges.
Ajayi was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for PC 460(B) – felony second degree burglary.”
