PASO ROBLES, CA — On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at approximately 2:49 p.m., the Paso Robles Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located in the 500 block of Spring Street. According to the preliminary investigation, an unknown adult male entered the building and verbally stated to a bank employee that he was armed with a firearm. The suspect demanded money during the encounter, though no weapon was visibly displayed to the staff.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect exited the building and fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Spring Street. Initial descriptions provided by witnesses categorized the suspect as a Hispanic male adult. He was wearing a light blue and white baseball-style hat, a dark-colored bandana around his neck, a high-visibility yellow long-sleeve shirt, and blue jeans. The suspect also has visible facial tattoos.
Bank surveillance video recorded the event and provided law enforcement investigators with images of the suspect. Utilizing this footage and information gathered during the ongoing investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Ernesto Noriega Cisneros.
