FONTANA, CA —  Two individuals were arrested on Thursday, May 14, 2026, after Fontana Police officers investigated a series of mail thefts reported throughout the city.

The mail thefts occurred overnight on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The following morning at approximately 8:13 a.m., officers located a vehicle near the intersection of Sierra Avenue and Santa Ana Avenue. The vehicle had been previously identified through security footage connected to the thefts. Officers proceeded to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.

The driver was identified as 31-year-old Mike Bell of Fontana. A records check revealed that Bell had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. During the subsequent roadside investigation, officers discovered illegal narcotics and stolen mail in his possession. The passenger, Alyssa Carcano of San Jacinto, was also taken into custody.

Following the initial arrests, officers authored a search warrant for Bell’s residence located in the City of Fontana. Patrol officers, working in conjunction with personnel from the Multiple Enforcement Team (MET), executed the warrant at the home. The search yielded additional illegal narcotics, further pieces of stolen mail, and items related to identity theft.

Both Bell and Carcano were transported to the West Valley Detention Center, where they were booked into custody.
