TULARE, CA – The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has launched a homicide investigation following a fatal shooting in Strathmore early Sunday morning.
On April 12, 2026, at approximately 1:15 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a shooting victim in the 19000 block of Road 196. Upon arrival, deputies located a male suffering from gunshot wounds and began performing CPR. Personnel from Emergency Medical Services and the Tulare County Fire Department arrived shortly after to provide further life-saving measures. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives have assumed responsibility for the investigation into the circumstances of the shooting. No further details regarding suspects or a motive have been released at this time.
