The victim, an adult female, stated her boyfriend (and father of her child), 36-year-old Andrew Reed, had physically assaulted her as well as pointed a firearm at her.

Deputies established a perimeter on the residence and attempted to call Reed out.

Reed refused to exit the residence, as did his mother. Reed also had their 4-year-old daughter in the residence.

Sacramento Sheriff’s Critical Incident Negotiation Team (CINT) and Special Enforcement Detail (SED aka SWAT) arrived on scene and continued attempting to have the occupants peacefully exit the residence … for over 5 hours.

An arrest warrant was issued for Reed. After breaching the front door, SED entered the residence and secured Reed without incident.

Fortunately, there were no injuries to anyone involved.

Reed was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of domestic violence, child endangerment, felon in possession of a firearm; assault with a deadly weapon and obstruction.

His bail is set at $1 million and his next court date is April 3.”
