OLIVEHURST, CA — The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three individuals in connection with a shooting that occurred in Olivehurst on March 20, 2026. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Benito Valle of Olivehurst, died from his injuries following a verbal altercation in the 1700 block of 6th Avenue.
Deputies originally responded to the scene at approximately 7:10 p.m., where they located Valle with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Adventist Health and Rideout, where he was later pronounced deceased. An investigation by detectives involving the identification of suspect vehicles led to the initial arrests of 21-year-old Adrian Vega of Yuba City and 24-year-old Namee Najarro of Marysville. Both individuals face charges including homicide, assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon.
On the weekend following the incident, a third suspect, 30-year-old Jesus Vega Jr. of Yuba City, surrendered to law enforcement at the Yuba County Jail. Vega Jr. was booked on charges of willful discharge of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public, and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
While three suspects are currently in custody, the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation remains active and ongoing. Detectives continue to canvass the area for witnesses and additional evidence.
