Two Arrested Following Shootings at Live Oak Park and Highway 99 Traffic Stop
LIVE OAK, CA – On February 11, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., deputies from the Live Oak substation and the main office responded to reports of a shooting in the 2800 block of Pennington Road. Preliminary reports indicated that an exchange of gunfire occurred among a group of individuals at a park before all parties left the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
Witnesses provided a description of a vehicle seen traveling northbound from the scene, prompting a Be-On-the-Lookout (BOLO) alert to be broadcast to regional agencies. According to the investigation, individuals in the suspect vehicle fired multiple rounds at another person who was fleeing on foot. During the shooting, a nearby residence and a separate vehicle were struck by gunfire.
Officers from the Gridley Police Department subsequently located and stopped the suspect vehicle on Highway 99 in Gridley. A firearm, believed to be the weapon used in the incident, was recovered during the stop. The Live Oak detective and the main office Investigations Unit took over the processing of the scene and the ongoing inquiry.
Two individuals were taken into custody following the investigation. A 17-year-old juvenile from Marysville was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall on charges including attempted homicide, shooting at an inhabited dwelling, unlawfully carrying a firearm, and participation in a criminal street gang. Christian Seaborn, 30, of Yuba City, was arrested for accessory to a crime, participation in a criminal street gang, driving under the influence of alcohol, and a parole hold. Seaborn was booked into the Sutter County Jail.
