Palmdale Resident Arrested Following Stabbing on South Palm Canyon Drive

PALM SPRINGS, CA – On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at approximately 3:55 a.m., officers from the Palm Springs Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing in the 600 block of S. Palm Canyon Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement located an adult male victim who had sustained a laceration to his head.

The victim informed responding officers that he had been attacked by an unknown male. According to the victim’s statement, the suspect fled the scene heading northbound in a white pickup truck. The vehicle was described as being occupied by a male driver and a female passenger.

During the subsequent investigation, officers located a white Ford F-150 that matched the description provided. Following a traffic stop of the vehicle, officers observed that the male driver had injuries consistent with an involvement in a physical altercation. A witness at the scene assisted investigators in identifying the detained driver as the suspect in the reported stabbing.

The suspect has been identified as James Fuller, 41, of Palmdale. Fuller was taken into custody without incident and transported to the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio. He was booked on charges of attempted homicide under sections 664 and 187(a) of the Penal Code, as well as a parole violation.
