WATSONVILLE, CA-The Watsonville Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify a vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run collision that occurred in late January. According to official reports, the incident took place on January 23 at approximately 5:51 PM at the intersection of Brewington Avenue and East Lake Avenue.
Officers responding to the scene determined that a 38-year-old pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Following the collision, the driver of the vehicle reportedly left the area without stopping. The pedestrian was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have confirmed that the victim is currently recovering from the injuries sustained during the event.
Based on the preliminary investigation, law enforcement officials believe the suspect vehicle is a silver Toyota 4Runner. Investigators noted that the vehicle likely sustained damage to its left taillight as a direct result of the impact with the pedestrian.
