Multiple Suspects Arrested After Man Allegedly Tries to Sell Unregistered Rifle
HEALDSBURG, CA — “On Saturday January 17th, Healdsburg Police Officers received information that there was a subject attempting to sell an AK-47 style rifle. Through investigative means Officers set up a meeting with the suspect who was attempting to sell the rifle. At about 6:45 PM, the suspect arrived at the Vineyard shopping center in Healdsburg along with several other individuals with the intent of selling the rifle and was taken into custody without incident. Through a search of the vehicles associated with the suspects Officers recovered an unregistered AK-47 style rifle with a loaded large capacity magazine and an additional large capacity drum magazine. They also recovered a loaded handgun.
22 year old Luis Armando Alvarado-Nova of Ukiah, 22 Year old Pedro Uriel Gutierrez-Alvarado of Fort Bragg, 21 year old Isabel Griselda Alvarado-Novoa of Ukiah, and 39 year old Rafael Ramirez-Hernandez of Petaluma were arrested on charges including conspiracy to commit a crime, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle in a public place, and unlawful possession and attempted sale of an assault weapon.
Luis Armando Alvarado-Nova was additionally arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a controlled substance. All suspects were booked into Sonoma County Jail.”
