Loaded Firearm and Narcotics Seized During Traffic Stop Near Stockton Boulevard; Suspect Detained

SOUTH SACRAMENTO, CA  — “Central Division Patrol Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Stockton Boulevard and Fruitridge Road in South Sacramento Feb. 2 for a vehicle code violation.

The driver, 50-year-old Lamar Addison, told deputies he was on parole and was instructed to exit the vehicle.

He attempted to flee on foot but was quickly detained.

A search revealed a loaded firearm with four rounds in the magazine, suspected narcotics, and additional evidence inside the vehicle. Addison is a registered sex offender (PC 290, Tier 3) and currently on parole.

Addison was transported and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on related charges.

Per California law, his booking photo is not available for public release, as his crimes are classified as “non-violent.”

He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.”
